Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 17, 2026

Who this covers

This policy applies to (1) the public marketing website at alaskatargeting.com and its subpaths, and (2) Switchboard, an internal advertising-management tool operated by Alaska Targeting to manage its own Meta (Facebook and Instagram) advertising. Switchboard is not offered as a service to the public.

Analytics on alaskatargeting.com

The public marketing website uses two analytics services, loaded through Google Tag Manager:

The data we collect is not sold to third parties. It is used by Alaska Targeting to understand site performance and to improve our advertising effectiveness on platforms we already run campaigns on.

If you wish to opt out of Google Analytics tracking across all websites that use it, install Google's browser opt-out extension. To opt out of PostHog tracking on this site, set your browser's "Do Not Track" header or use a tracker-blocking extension; PostHog also respects the GPC (Global Privacy Control) signal. You can also limit ad personalization across Google services at Google's My Ad Center and Meta services at Facebook Ad Preferences.

What data Switchboard accesses

Switchboard accesses, via Meta's Marketing API, advertising data belonging to Alaska Targeting's own Meta ad accounts and Pages assigned to it. This includes:

Switchboard does not collect data from visitors to this website or from people who see ads.

How the data is stored

Aggregate website analytics are stored by Google Analytics under Alaska Targeting's account. Data accessed via the Meta Marketing API is stored on systems controlled by Alaska Targeting solely for managing its own advertising. None of this data is sold, shared with, or sent to third parties.

Who uses the tools

Switchboard and the analytics dashboards are used only by authorized Alaska Targeting administrators. Access is restricted via identity-based authentication.

Cookies and tracking

The public website at alaskatargeting.com sets first-party cookies on behalf of Google Analytics and PostHog to distinguish unique sessions and measure aggregate traffic. These cookies do not contain identifying information. Switchboard itself does not use cookies for advertising or analytics; the only cookie Switchboard uses is the session cookie required to authenticate administrators.

How analytics traffic is routed

To preserve measurement accuracy for visitors using ad-blocking browser extensions, PostHog analytics events are routed through a Cloudflare Worker at alaskatargeting.com/ph/ instead of being sent directly to PostHog's domain. This is a technical proxy only — no data is transformed, stored, or inspected in transit. Visitors who actively block our domain at the DNS or extension level (e.g., uBlock Origin with a custom blocklist) will not be tracked.

Data retention

Advertising data is retained while it remains operationally useful for campaign management and is periodically purged when no longer needed.

Data deletion

Because Switchboard does not collect personal data from members of the public, there is no end-user data to delete from the tool itself. The advertising data Switchboard accesses via Meta's Marketing API remains under your control inside the relevant Meta ad account; you can remove it at any time via Ads Manager, Meta Business Settings, or directly via the Meta Marketing API.

If you believe Alaska Targeting holds data about you and would like it deleted, please email [email protected] with the subject line Data deletion request and we will respond.
